"They took the crowd on a wild ride, mixing up their sometimes Spanish, sometimes English, Latin-Klezmer-Folk hybrid of music in a stunning swirl of rhythm"
"Quintet We the Folk gave us an out-of-this-world experience, it’s tough to explain exactly what their music sounds like, but we promise it’s amazing."
"You say Klezmer, but I hear Tango... A whole mixtrure of cultures, I really like this band a lot"

Blistering dance rhythms from the mines of Colombia and the shores of Argentina.
Melodic fireworks from the Appalachian hills and the Balkan caravans.
We the Folk is a kaleidescopic force of Latin Gypsy Pop launching you through the stratosphere and onto the dance floor.
Featuring David Villafaña's magnetic lead vocals and Gabriel Wheaton's fiddling flair, We The Folk began as an acoustic trio performing impromptu shows in public spaces around the UCLA campus. Student demand quickly transformed these performances into dance parties and official events, making We The Folk a recognizable campus presence.
Expanding through Los Angeles and Southern California, We The Folk has played at major venues like the Troubador and the Teragram Ballroom, sharing performances with an eclectic range of groups from The Dustbowl Revival to Børns.
We The Folk was featured on NPR's Alt.Latino as a favorite submission of the 2015 Tiny Desk Concert Contest. In 2014 they were awarded the Las Doñas award for Best Band at UCLA's Spring Sing.
In April 2016, We The Folk released their debut full-length album, "WTF." It is available on Bandcamp, iTunes and Spotify.
